On December 11, 2008, 300 mature coho salmon were placed in Salmon Creek on Chanslor Ranch.
Hopefully they will spawn early in 2009 with their offspring returning to Salmon Creek in 2011. For a
species as endangered as the coho, this would be a very significant. Restoration of the creek habitat
is a priority with many agencies participating, including Chanslor Wildlife.
